John studies the 20th century United States. He is particularly interested in the intersection of US Political History and the LGBTQ rights movement of the 1970s and 1980s. A former high school history teacher, John holds a BA in History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MA from Georgetown University.
