Biography
Dami is a doctoral student in United States history and a Mellon Cluster Fellow in Gender and Sexuality Studies. Her research focuses on the history of slavery, race, and gender in the 19th-century United States. She holds a B.A. in History and Philosophy from Georgetown University (2024).
Her undergraduate thesis "A Rememory of Harriet Hayden" analyzed visual and material culture to remember Harriet as superintendent of an Underground Railroad boarding house, women's rights activist, philanthropist, and more.
