Biography
Daniel Ospina-Perez joined the doctoral program in history in 2022. His main areas of interest are modern Latin American history, urban history, historical geography, the study of the build environment, socio-political history, and environmental history. Specifically, he is interested in the role civil infrastructure had in early twentieth century Colombian political rhetoric, and how it served as a tool for state building amidst a period of political reform and social change. He received his BA in history and his MA in geography from the Universidad de Los Andes (Bogota, Colombia).
