NEH Fellowships for Dyan Elliott and Sean Hanretta, Gadsden wins Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study Fellowship

Dyan Elliott and Sean Hanretta have won fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities to pursue their book projects. Prof. Elliott will be working on her new book, entitled “The Quick and the Dead: The Medieval Church and Exhumation of Fellow-Christians.” Prof. Hanretta will be on leave next year to work on his book, "Dying and Marrying Muslim in Ghana: Ethics of the Body, Secrecy, and Privacy." Prof. Brett Gadsden won a fellowship at the Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study to work on his book, “From Protest to Politics: How African Americans Transformed the Presidency.”
